About Us

You can visit our office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

OC Campus Police are on duty 24/7/365. We have two patrol cars with lights that are clearly marked, Police. Our eight officers are CLEET-certified, fully commissioned and armed. They are serious about law enforcement, and they are really nice guys.

You can call them at ANY time for anything: lost keys to a dorm, have a flat tire, need a jump start, you were studying late across campus and would feel more comfortable with an escort to your dorm, our Campus Police are here for you.

Our campus is very well-lit for safety after dark. The Eagle Trail has lots of lights and emergency call boxes in the most remote areas. The campus has two entrances and security cameras in strategic locations.

Dorm access is granted to students assigned to that dorm with a student ID card and non-residents of that dorm must request permission to come in. Individual rooms have key access only for the two to four people in that room.

Another aspect of safety in Oklahoma is the weather. We are only 35 miles from a National Weather Center and typically know well in advance when conditions are right for tornadoes. We have a campus-wide text alert system for emergencies. Multiple buildings include basement space to take cover under the threat of a tornado and a plan in place for the safety of everyone on campus.
