The Department of Biology at Oklahoma Christian University is currently seeking a full-time faculty member in Biological Sciences. Visiting, full-time, and tenure-track options are available. Preference is for the Doctorate degree in a biology-related field, with demonstrated ability and experience to teach undergraduate courses in a variety of areas. Because the department emphasizes undergraduate research, the successful candidate should also demonstrate strong research skills and willingness to mentor students. Individuals who hold doctoral degrees in medical fields or who are ABD will be considered and academic rank and salary will be based upon experience and qualifications.
Academic rank for these open positions will be negotiable based on education and experience according to University policy, which requires all full-time faculty to be active members of church of Christ and all faculty (Visiting, adjunct, etc.) to be committed to Christ-infused curriculum, co-curriculum, lifestyle and community. A doctoral degree or ABD is preferred for all faculty ranks, with advanced ranks available for those who also bring demonstrated teaching excellence, publication, or professional leadership. Positions are full-time, ten-month posts. Applications will be accepted until filled, with review beginning immediately.

• A curriculum vita;
• A statement of teaching philosophy and discussion of the University’s mission;
• A list of at least three academic/professional references and one reference from a local church leader - with telephone and email contact information;
• A copy of all academic transcripts (an official copy must be submitted prior to formal employment); and
• A statement of longer-term plans, including research interests
