Dr. Loren Gieger received the Gaylord Chair of Distinguished Teaching award. He has done special study at Harding Graduate School of Religion, and at Texas Christian University. He has gone on Sabbatical archeological studies in Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. Dr. Gieger is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Near Eastern Archeological Society. He says, "I believe in Christian education and am committed to the restoration of New Testament Christianity." Dr. Gieger also enjoys model railroads, and shipbuilding. His wife is Iola, and they have three children: Leland, Gayland, and Shawn. Dr. Gieger preaches for Stroud, OK, Church of Christ, and he teaches Early Bird class at Memorial Road Church of Christ.
