"I believe that the liberal arts should free the mind, the body, and most importantly, the human soul. Oklahoma Christian's mission is to incorporate all three of these pursuits in a safe, high-quality learning environment." Huddleston received the Graduate Research Excellence Award from Oklahoma State University. He is also the Book Review Editor for Ecumenica, A Journal of Theatre Performance. Barrett is interested in theatre and religion, experimental theatre, and medieval theatre and performance. He published the articles "Hegemonic Hrosvit" and "Rising Image Performance Review" in the Baylor Journal of Theatre and Performance. He is a member of OSTCA, Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and he is a sponsor for Alpha Psi Omega. He says his favorite memory of OC was: "In the spring of my junior year, I proposed to my wife during the curtain call of Boys Next Door. She said yes. We received a standing ovation." His wife, Rachel (Maple) gave birth to their first child, Ethan in 2007.
