Winter-like conditions result in cancellation of game vs. Newman

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 2, 2013) – Due to winter-like weather conditions in the Oklahoma City area, the Heartland Conference baseball game between Oklahoma Christian and Newman (Kan.) scheduled for Thursday at Dobson Field has been cancelled.

The game was to be OC’s regular-season finale. It won’t be rescheduled.

OC (22-22) will begin play at home next Tuesday in the National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region tournament. OC, Ecclesia (Ark.) and Central Baptist (Ark.) have confirmed they will play in the double-elimination event, while McMurry (Texas) could qualify with a three-game sweep of NCAA Division II power St. Mary’s (Texas).
