OKLAHOMA CITY (March 4, 2014) – Winter weather that has significantly impacted Oklahoma Christian’s softball season has led to changes in the Lady Eagles’ upcoming schedule.
OC, which has had 10 scheduled games either cancelled or postponed so far this season, has added a home doubleheader on Thursday against Emporia State (Kan.). The games at Tom Heath Field at Lawson Plaza will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The Lady Eagles also have moved their home doubleheader against Southwestern Oklahoma State from Saturday to Friday, with the games now set for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The forecast for Saturday calls for temperatures in the 40s, while temperatures Friday should be in the 60s.
OC had planned to have its ceremonial grand opening celebration for Tom Heath Field on Saturday, but that will be rescheduled for later in the season.
OC coach Tom Heath also said the Lady Eagles’ home games scheduled for April 15 against Texas Woman’s have been cancelled.
