OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 20, 2013) – For the second time in as many weeks, OC’s schedule home baseball opener has been delayed due to snow.
The Eagles’ game scheduled for Thursday night against St. Gregory’s has been cancelled and probably won’t be made up, OC coach Lonny Cobble said Wednesday. OC’s doubleheader at Sterling (Kan.), scheduled for Saturday, met the same fate, as Kansas received much more snow than did Oklahoma on Wednesday.
OC now will host a three-way event on Saturday involving the Eagles, Mid-America Christian and York (Neb.). OC will face MACU at noon, followed by a MACU-York game at 3 p.m., then an OC-York game at 6 p.m.
The Eagles also will play a single game against York on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. Cobble said a game scheduled at Rogers State on Monday might be moved to OC, depending on field conditions, but that the decision regarding that will be made Sunday.
OC also has a home game scheduled for Tuesday against longtime rival Oklahoma Baptist.
