Pulido, Roessle, Sanchez-Canamares named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes

MOBILE, Ala. (May 20, 2013) – Three Oklahoma Christian men’s tennis players have been honored as National Christian College Athletic Association Scholar-Athletes.

Julio Pulido, Paulo Roessle and Jaime Sanchez-Canamares all qualified for the honor, which was announced during the recently completed NCCAA Championship in Mobile, Ala. Oklahoma Christian did not participate in the tournament.

To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a junior academically and have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Pulido, a sophomore from Caceras, Spain, is a junior academically. He carries a 3.63 GPA in accounting. Roessle, a senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, has a 3.53 GPA in finance.

Sanchez-Canamares, like Pulido, is a sophomore athletically and a junior academically. Sanchez-Canamares, from Albacete, Spain, has a 3.44 GPA in finance.
