OKLAHOMA CITY (March 6, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian will conduct the OC Soccer School, a spring break camp for aspiring players, from March 18-21, OC men’s coach David Scott said Wednesday.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day at the OC soccer field and will be directed by Scott, with assistance from OC men’s assistant coach Tom Odhiambo and OC women’s assistant coach Neil Hilton.

The camp will include a “Little Eagles Camp” for ages 5-7 and an “Eagle Camp” for ages 8-12. Scott said the “Little Eagles Camp” is designed “for fun, while introducing the campers to basic techniques of soccer.”

The “Eagle Camp” is designed “to develop the basic techniques and skills of soccer: dribbling, ball control, heading, passing and shooting by teaching in a progressive manner, from simple to complex, which allows the players to practice these skills while exposing them to tactical decision making through small-sided play,” Scott said.

Tuition will be $75 for both the “Little Eagles Camp” and the “Eagle Camp” and includes instruction and a camp T-shirt. Area college and high school coaches and OC players will assist as instructors at the camp.
