NOBLE, Okla. (May 11, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian women’s soccer signee Sophia Brazil will enter the Lady Eagles’ program as a two-time state champion.

Brazil, a forward for Deer Creek High School in Edmond, helped the Antlers win their second straight Oklahoma Class 5A high school girls title with a 2-1 decision over Carl Albert High School of Midwest City on Friday night in Noble.

It was the first time in Deer Creek history that any of its athletic teams won consecutive state titles.

“Sophia has been a great player and tremendous leader for Deer Creek,” OC women’s coach Randall Robison said. “Her enthusiasm, work ethic and commitment show every time she takes the field. We look forward to Sophia bringing her talents to OC this fall.”
