SHAWNEE, Okla. (April 13, 2014) – The second baseball showdown of the season between Oklahoma Christian and Oklahoma Baptist might not happen.

OC’s game at OBU that was scheduled for Monday night has been postponed due to weather, OC coach Lonny Cobble said. A round of thunderstorms rolled through the Oklahoma City metropolitan area on Sunday afternoon and Monday’s forecast called for chilly temperatures in the 40s, resulting in the decision to postpone the nonconference game.

Cobble said the game might be rescheduled, but with the end of the regular season rapidly approaching, he wasn’t sure when.

The Eagles, ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II South Central Region, beat OBU – which is currently ranked No. 1 in the NAIA – earlier this season in a game at OC.

OC still is scheduled to play at another local rival, Oklahoma City University, on Tuesday night.
