BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 21, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian’s annual spring break trip to Florida ended Thursday with a 9-0 loss to No. 8 Lynn (Fla.) at Perper Tennis Complex.

OC (7-4) went 1-3 during its trip, with one match postponed.

Despite the lopsided score, the Lady Eagles were competitive in a handful of matches, particularly in doubles. OC’s Maryfer Abreu Roman and Gabriela Carrillo took Alina Jane and Ana Kriz to a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles before falling 9-8.

The No. 1 doubles match also was close, with Lynn’s Valentine Confalonieri and Ioana Ivan beating Barbora Bozkova and Gisela Castany 8-6.

Lynn (11-1) dominated in singles play, as OC won only 15 games combined in the six matches. The closest match was at the No. 1 position, at which Confalonieri beat Bozkova 6-3, 6-3.

The Lady Eagles will return to Oklahoma and play their home opener April 4 against Midwestern State (Texas) at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond.
