OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 22, 2013) – Michelle Krause, a dual credentialed physical therapist and athletic trainer, has joined the Oklahoma Christian University athletic training staff as a rehabilitation coordinator, OC Director of Athletic Training Curtis McAuliff said Friday.
Krause will work alongside McAuliff and Head Athletic Trainer Sydney Ringer, giving OC three athletic trainers to work with the university’s more than 200 student-athletes on 14 athletic teams.
Krause earned her bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1998 and her master of education degree in sports administration from East Central University in 2002.
She has spent 10 years working in intercollegiate athletics – six years (2004-2010) as a rehabilitation coordinator and staff athletic trainer at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and four years (2000-2004) as a graduate assistant trainer and rehabilitation coordinator at East Central in Ada.
Since September 2012, she’s worked as the center manager at Select Physical Therapy in Oklahoma City, and she worked from August 2010 to August 2012 as a physical therapist and athletic trainer at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation at Integris Marshall County Medical Center in Madill.
Krause is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers’ Association, the American Physical Therapy Association and the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association.
