OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 6, 2014) – Ryan Kloesel, a program assistant for Oklahoma Christian’s men’s basketball team the past three seasons, will serve as a graduate assistant coach for the Eagles during the 2014-15 campaign, OC head coach Dan Hays said Wednesday.

Kloesel, from Norman, graduated from OC in April with a bachelor’s degree in social studies education. After working on his master’s degree, he eventually wants to become a teacher of U.S. history and a high school basketball coach.

In 2013, he was named to the Heartland Conference academic Honor Roll’s Commissioner’s List, an honor awarded to student-athletes and student support personnel who record a grade-point average between 3.0 and 3.49.

“We are pleased that Ryan will be on our staff as a graduate assistant this season,” Hays said. “He has done a great job as a program assistant the last three years. He has a bright future in coaching.”

Kloesel will work with a coaching staff that includes Hays and assistant coaches Terril Hankins and Rob McKinzie.
