OKLAHOMA CITY (May 2, 2013) – Three teams will play in the National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region baseball tournament next week at Dobson Field.

OC will host Central Baptist (Ark.) and Ecclesia (Ark.) in the double-elimination event, which will be played Tuesday and Wednesday. Game times will be at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday and at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. (if necessary) on Wednesday.

McMurry (Texas) fell out of contention for the event on Thursday night when the War Hawks lost 10-0 at St. Mary’s (Texas). McMurry needed to sweep St. Mary’s in a three-game series to finish the regular season with a .500 record and thus qualify for the regional.

Seedings will be determined on Friday for the tournament. OC finished the regular season at 22-22, while Ecclesia is 24-18 and Central Baptist entered its NAIA conference tournament this week with a 24-24 record.

The regional champion will advance to the NCCAA Championship, set for May 15-18 in Mason, Ohio.
