Despite 13 hits, Lady Eagles fall 5-3 to Arkansas-Monticello
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (Feb. 16, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian had 13 hits, including three each by Kala Ratliff and Kendra Pierce, but left 10 runners on base and lost 5-3 to Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday in the 7-States Classic.
OC’s first game of the day, against Northwest Missouri State, was called after two innings due to field conditions. OC (4-3) will take a three-game losing streak into its final two games of the 7-States Classic, on Sunday against Missouri Western and Rockhurst (Mo.).

The Lady Eagles had four hits and pulled within 5-3 in the fifth, with Courtney Starr delivering an RBI double and Pierce following with a run-scoring single.
But the Lady Eagles left two runners on base in the sixth and left the bases loaded in the seventh, as Perry came on with two outs to strike out Michelle Miller to end the game and earn her first save of the softball season.
