WACO, Texas (Nov. 14, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian midfielder Domenico DeGrazia was a second-team honoree on the All-Heartland Conference men’s soccer honor teams, which were announced Thursday.
DeGrazia, a midfielder from Caracas, Venezuela, made the second-team Heartland list for the second straight season after scoring a team-high nine goals with three assists.
DeGrazia finished fifth in the NCAA Division II conference in goals and shots (58) and tied for sixth in points (21). The Eagles finished 4-11-1 overall and 2-7 in league play, tied for eighth in the 10-team conference.
“I'm very happy for Domenico,” OC coach David Scott said. “He's been a big part of our team’s success over the past few seasons and it’s great for him to be recognized by the conference coaches.
“Domenico had another strong season, leading us in goals for the second season in a row. He has continued to improve as a player each year and has developed a knack for getting into the right positions and finishing chances when given the opportunity.”
