DALLAS (Oct. 14, 2013) – Jessica Salas and Danielle Presley each scored two goals as Heartland Conference power Dallas Baptist (Texas) beat visiting Oklahoma Christian 4-0 on Monday night in women’s soccer.
Salas scored in the ninth minute and Presley scored four minutes later to put DBU (5-5-1, 2-1 Heartland) ahead and the Patriots never looked back.
Salas added a goal in the 24th minute and Presley capped the scoring with a goal in the 49th minute.
DBU outshot OC (2-8-2, 0-2-1) by a 22-1 count. Anna Walker went the distance in goal for the first time this season for the Lady Eagles and made seven saves, while DBU goalkeeper Kerry Edwards had one save.
“We are proud of our players for the heart they showed in the second half,” OC coach Randall Robison said. “They battled a very good Dallas Baptist team and matched their intensity in the second half. We just waited too long to start playing tonight.”
OC will begin a four-game homestand on Saturday, hosting Texas A&M International.
