CHOCTAW, Okla. (April 22, 2013) – Kylee Hicks, a defensive ace for Choctaw High School, has signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Oklahoma Christian, OC women’s coach Stephanie Findley said Monday.

Hicks, a 5-10 forward, averaged 8.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this past season for Choctaw, which competes in Class 6A, Oklahoma’s highest prep classification.

Hicks earned honorable mention on The Oklahoman’s 6A All-State and Big All-City lists as a senior after leading the Yellowjackets to an area tournament final.

“Kylee is an athletic guard who is a shutdown defender and has plenty of scoring punch,” Findley said. “She is a great fit for our program both on the court and off.”

She is the third player to sign with OC for the 2013-14 season, joining a pair of Perkins-Tryon High School teammates, Jordan Gorham and McKenzie Stanford.
