AMARILLO, Texas (May 30, 2013) – Sarah Cobb, who helped Amarillo Tascosa High School win a district cross country championship as a senior, has signed a letter of intent to run cross country at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Wade Miller said Thursday.

Cobb ran a personal-best time of 19:19 at last year’s District 2-5A meet and has a top time of 21:04.50 in the 5,000 meters, which is the distance of collegiate cross country races. She has experience running events ranging from 800 to 5,000 meters.

"I am very excited about what Sarah will bring to the team,” Miller said. “She is a dedicated individual and a hard worker and will give us some much needed depth and strength. I can't wait to see what she will accomplish at OC."

She is the third runner to sign with OC women’s cross country team, joining Maci Rich of Marlow, Okla., and Layne Hammer of Greeley, Colo.
