  • OC hires Simmons, Buxton


    Oklahoma Christian announced the addition of a communications expert and an Air Force officer to its faculty this fall. Brian Simmons will join the OC faculty as a professor of communication while Col. Brad Buxton has been hired as an assistant professor of engineering.

  • Peters picked for Baugh Chair of Gospel Preaching


    Dr. Doug Peters will be OC’s first Baugh Chair of Gospel Preaching. He has 27 years of experience in ministry and preaching, including the last 13 years as the pulpit minister for North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington, Texas.

  • Longtime professor Elmo Hall passes away


    The Oklahoma Christian community mourns the loss of longtime professor Dr. Elmo Hall, who passed away on May 13 with his loving family at his side.

  • OC awards degrees at Spring Commencement


    Oklahoma Christian will present 198 undergraduate degrees and 39 graduate degrees at spring commencement on April 25-26. Mark Brewer, senior vice president and chief information officer for Seagate Technology, will deliver Friday’s undergraduate commencement address. Chip Kooi, a professor of theology at OC, will keynote Saturday’s graduate ceremony.

  • OC expands to five colleges, appoints new deans


    Oklahoma Christian University will expand from three to five colleges this year. Dr. Jeff McCormack is the dean of the new College of Natural and Health Sciences. Dr. Byron Newberry will serve as dean of OC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science.

  • OC presents first MBA degrees in Rwanda


    Oklahoma Christian University held its first-ever international commencement ceremony Saturday, presenting 38 Rwandan students with Masters in Business Administration degrees.
