OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 25, 2013) – One of these days, Oklahoma Christian’s baseball team finally will have the chance to play its 2013 home opener. It just won’t happen this week.

An impending winter storm led Monday to the postponement of three more OC games – Monday at Rogers State, Tuesday at home against Oklahoma Baptist and Thursday at home against Heartland Conference foe Texas-Permian Basin.

The games against UTPB and Rogers State – as well as a previously postponed home game against Oklahoma Panhandle State – definitely will be rescheduled, OC coach Lonny Cobble said. He said the OBU game might be rescheduled but that that hasn’t yet been decided. Earlier scheduled games against St. Gregory’s – one at home, one on the road – have been cancelled.

OC (4-5) originally scheduled its home opener for Feb. 13 against OPSU. Then it was going to be Feb. 21 against St. Gregory’s, then this past Saturday against Mid-America Christian, then against OBU or UTPB. All those games were postponed because of snow or its aftermath.

OC’s next scheduled home date is March 5 against Southern Nazarene.
