OC hosts Jabee as part of Black History Month events The performance is organized through OC's Black Student Union

Feb 08, 2019

Former Oklahoma Christian University student, successful rapper and Emmy award-winner Jabee returns to OC Feb. 8 to perform in the Brew at 7 p.m. OC’s Black Student Union has worked with Multicultural and Service Learning Coordinator Gary Jones to bring Jabee back to campus for a performance in celebration of Black History Month.

Students and faculty alike are looking forward to the night of entertainment from Jabee. Thomas Caldwell, an officer in the Black Student Union, had the pleasure of meeting with the artist multiple times off-campus and has gotten them both excited and ready for the event.

“My expectation is to have a lot of people come over and enjoy some good music while we have a former OC student come by to share that music,” Caldwell said. “I want people to come by and show Jabee and the Black Student Union some support because we have a lot more events planned this month.”

After the encouraging words brought on campus by Andrew Young with History Speaks, OC looks to practice what was said by encouraging everyone to come to the Brew, grab a drink and enjoy Jabee’s performance as one student body.
