Name of Scholarship: Oklahoma Christian University Scholarship
Awarded by: Oklahoma Christian Women's Association of the Tulsa area.
Awarded to: Graduating high school senior boys or girls in the Tulsa area.
Amount of Scholarship: Scholarships will be determined by the OCWA Scholarship Committee based on available funds. ONE HALF is paid directly to OC in September and ONE HALF again in January.
Requirements and Standards: Applicants shall be a member of the Church of Christ. Applicants must show scholastic achievement throughout high school as evidenced by their grade point average. Applicants shall be of good character and personality and shall display qualities of leadership and have a minimum scholastic GPA of 2.5.
Applicants shall enroll at Oklahoma Christian for the fall session following graduation from high school, and shall carry a full load of courses (at least 12 hours per semester).
Documentation: Applicants shall complete application online by clicking on the button below. The additional requirements shall be mailed to the Scholarship Committee by due date.
Applicants shall furnish a personal letter explaining his/her reasons for choosing OC for their college education, why they are applying for this scholarship, plus an explanation of their future educational and career plans that he/she will pursue after graduation.
Applicants shall include one transcript from his/her high school, including the first semester of the 12th grade. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Applicants shall furnish two letters of recommendation: one from his/her high school counselor or teacher and one from a preacher, elder or member of their home congregation.
The Scholarship Committee will make final selection. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
