The National History Day program is a national academic competition for students in grades 6-12; 6th-8th graders compete in the junior division and 9th-12th in the senior division.
They can create entries in a variety of categories: papers, exhibits, performances, documentaries, and websites. Except for the paper category, which must be individual only, students may enter as an individual or a group of 2-5. The Department of History & Political Science, together with the Tau Sigma Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, hosts the Oklahoma District 2 competition around late March or early April each year. District 2 is comprised of the 7 counties of the greater Oklahoma City area.
