Graduate School of Theology Programs
The Master of Divinity is an 89-credit-hour integrated program that seeks to expand your knowledge of the biblical text, Greek and Hebrew languages, church history, theology, and practical ministry. The Master of Divinity is, for many, the basic theological, professional degree and is required for endorsement to become a Chaplain. You can complete the degree in three to four years.
The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry prepares you for competent leadership in youth, family, or congregational ministry. The Master of Arts in Ministry centers your study on the biblical text, Greek language, and the skills to enhance your selected ministry track. The Master of Arts is 42 credit hours and can usually be completed in two years.
The Master of Theological Studies degree seeks to provide students with deep knowledge of the Bible and Theology that can be used in both a ministry setting, and in every day life. The Master of Theological Studies degree allows students to focus on either textual Bible study or Theological studies. It also allows for the option of doing a thesis in order to prepare for higher academic work, such as a Ph.D. or D.Min program. The MTS degree is 48 credit hours and can usually be completed in about two years.
