If you are a citizen of the United States, please visit our Admissions page.

Oklahoma Christian University (OC) provides English as a Second Language (ESL) support courses for international students who do not meet OC’s admission requirements for English proficiency and wish to study English in the USA. Applicants who have not studied in a country where English is the Primary language of instruction must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) and arrange for the testing agency to send the test results to Oklahoma Christian University. After achieving a minimum TOEFL score, ESL students may continue to their desired course of study, whether a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

The required TOEFL score is 500 PBT (61 IBT) and IELTS score is 6.0. ESL students scoring below 500 may enroll in the University's ESL classes. A TOEFL or IELTS score is required for enrollment in the fall or spring ESL classes. ESL classes consist of a core curriculum of reading, writing, oral communication, and TOEFL preparation. Students scoring between 460-499 after successfully completing at least a semester of University ESL support courses may apply for provisional admittance to the University.
