Oklahoma Christian University students get college credit to intern for companies, firms, media outlets, and other venues in Oklahoma City, the 41st-largest media market in the country. Studying in a big market connects you with contacts that often lead to that first job after graduation.

In addition, OC students have earned summer credit in Washington, D.C., through the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and in Asheville, N.C., through the World Journalism Institute. Other summer internships outside the Oklahoma City metro area have included WFAA-TV in Dallas, WGXA-TV in Macon, Ga., KJBJ Radio in Houston, Phillips Productions in Dallas, and Southwest Airlines corporate headquarters.
