We are asking our Alumni to mentor a prospective student in an Engineer-for-a-Day program. In this program, you invite a prospective student from your area to your workplace for a day. In this way, prospective OC Engineering students have a chance to find out what a real engineer does. During this visit, you will want to make sure you show the student exciting stuff and promote both Engineering as well as OC Engineering.
If you are willing to be a mentor for the Engineer-for-a-Day program, here's what you should do:
1. Get permission from your company
Most companies want to promote Engineering and their company, but you need their permission.
2. Contact Dr. Bigelow (ECEs) or Dr. Cassel (MEs)
Let us know you want to do this. We'll work with you to set up a date and a prospectve student, if possible.
