Nursing Program Administrator

Oklahoma Christian University is seeking an administrative leader for the university’s growing nursing program, which has quickly gained a reputation for exceptional quality. Responsibilities include development of curriculum, management of faculty and staff, review of faculty performance, management of program budgets and goals, and leadership in national accreditation. The Chair also serves as liaison with state and local nursing organizations and leads by creating an atmosphere conducive to scholarly pursuits as well as the department’s spiritual and humanitarian efforts in our Honduraserve program. Collaboration with faculty in and out of the Nursing program is essential. The Chair position is renewable after the first term of five years.
Preference is for a Ph.D. in Nursing or MSN and Doctorate in a related field; a minimum required is the Master of Science in Nursing with clinical experience in the field and teaching experience, preferably at the BSN level.
Academic rank for these open positions will be negotiable based on education and experience according to University policy, which requires all full-time faculty to be active members of church of Christ and all faculty (Visiting, adjunct, etc.) to be committed to Christ-infused curriculum, co-curriculum, lifestyle and community. A doctoral degree or ABD is preferred for all faculty ranks, with advanced ranks available for those who also bring demonstrated teaching excellence, publication, or professional leadership. Positions are full-time, ten-month posts. Applications will be accepted until filled, with review beginning immediately.

• A statement of teaching philosophy and discussion of the University’s mission;

• A statement of longer-term plans, including research interests
