From its beginning in 1950, Oklahoma Christian University has served churches of Christ as part of its mission. Services have included lectureships, seminars, publications, camps and speakers for special events along with, of course, educating youth from congregations around the world.
The Church Relations team is composed of Dr. Alan Martin, Dean of the College of Biblical Studies, Dr. Stafford North, Distinguished Professor of Bible, Bob Rowley, Executive Director for Church Relations and Senior Advancement Officer, and Kaye Wilkerson, Administrative Assistant.
All of these people have long ties with churches of Christ and are active in preaching, teaching, speaking at lectureships and serving in other ways. They are all deeply committed to continuing the long-term relationship OC has had with congregations and individuals among those churches the university serves.
Special services highlighted on this website include: the annual OC lectureship, a monthly newsletter called “Good News,” a quarterly newsletter called “Man of God” for young men who have an interest in preaching, summer camps held on the OC campus, and posting of ministry openings and other opportunities.
Oklahoma Christian University has a branch office in Dallas/Fort Worth that serves as a local hub for student recruiting, church relations, fundraising, and outreach to OC's Texas alumni.
